Our Scripture reading today is Romans 12:1-2.

Verse 1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your  reasonable service."

The Apostle Paul is passionately calling on all the Christians at Rome and each one of us today to be willing to be a living sacrifice for the LORD.  Jesus Christ willing laid down His life in order that we, as sinners, might have eternal life.  It is only reasonable that we be willing to lay down the life that He has given us for His purpose and glory.

Our bodies should be yielded to whatever He is calling us to do.  There is a daily duty that must be performed in order to accomplish His will.   I Corinthians 15:31, "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily."  It is imperative that we die to our will and plans.  Have you done that yet?  It may take more than one time.  I would also like to encourage parents to read this devotional to your children.  The sooner we die to our plans and yield to God's, the better.
