Today's Scripture reading is Proverbs 28:5, "Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things."
Have you ever heard someone say, "I just do not understand why this is happening"? If you are like me, you have probably said it or at least thought it. It is true that God's ways are past finding out. Romans 11:33, "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!" Our verse for today gives us a solution for not understanding. The more that we seek the LORD, the better we will understand what is going on in and around our lives.
As we seek the LORD, we will become more obedient to His Word. Psalm 111:10, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." Our obedience leads to more understanding. Our obedience will help us know and understand God's will in a greater way. John 7:17, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."
It is quite possible you do not understand something in your life right now. Let me encourage you to continue to faithfully seek Him by trusting and obeying His Word!
