Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 40:2-3.
Verse 3, "And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."
Our testimony is very important when it comes to others learning more about God. There are always people watching us to see if how we live matches what we say. It is important that we love the LORD and give Him praise and glory. One way we can do this is to lift our voice in praise and song. God gives the bird a song and God has given each of us a song. “The suffering servant of God always becomes the singing one. For as the secret of song is ever that of waiting for God, doing the will of God, in and through suffering, the result is always deliverance, and the issue a song.” (Morgan)
