Our Scripture reading today is John 15:20, "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also."
It is not a surprise that the gospel message is rejected today. There will always be a rejection of truth. Jesus Christ was rejected by the religious crowd of His day. He was crucified for speaking the truth. Not everyone rejected Him. There are people today who are searching for the truth. They need hope and we have the message of hope. We need to ask God for boldness and compassion as seek to obey the great commission.
