Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 2:12, "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation."
Your walk talks and your talk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks. The people Peter is writing about lived in such a way that their good works verified what they said. It was even more important that they live genuine lives for their ultimate day of standing before God.
We have a blessed opportunity to represent the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. They are in great need of the peace that only God can offer through His Son. The way we live our lives goes along way towards strengthening our witness for the lost and for bringing God glory. It is vital that we talk the talk but also that we walk the walk.
