Our Scripture reading today is Hosea 10:12, "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you."
What type of sowing are you doing in your daily life? Keep in mind, you always reap more than you sow. The prophet Hosea gives a challenge and reminder. If you sow righteousness, you will reap mercy. God's mercy is vital for your life and mine. Mercy means not receiving what one deserves.
Are you actively seeking the LORD for His will in your life? Are you going to Him every day and yielding that day to Him? We are obviously not living in Hosea's day, but it is still time to seek the LORD. This should be a given that Christians should seek God's will and then do it. Unfortunately, many young people and old alike already have their plans made and seeking the LORD was not part of their plan. God is ready to rain down His righteous blessings on those who seek Him.
