Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 17:20, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
The emphasis in this text is not on the amount of faith but in where the amount of faith is placed. Mustard seed faith placed in the person of Christ is more powerful that a truck load of faith placed in ourselves. Faith that produces is faith that believes God will do as He has promised. We fail time and time again, but our LORD never fails. “The eye cannot see itself. Did you ever see your own eye? In a mirror you may have done so, but that was only a reflection of it. And you may, in like manner, see the evidence of your faith, but you cannot look at the faith itself. Faith looks away to itself to the object of faith, even to Christ.” (Spurgeon)
Almighty God is able to carry you through every challenging time. He is able to provide for every need you have. "Have faith in God." Mark 11:22
