Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 43:2, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

The prophet Isaiah reminds us that as children of God, He is always with us.  This truth should bring a peace into our heart that goes beyond what we can understand or comprehend.  Colossians 3:15, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."  The presence of God brings the peace of God.  God goes with us all the way to Glory.  Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Verse three of "I Remember Calvary" by W. C. Martin:
Onward I go, nor doubt, nor fear,
Happy with Christ, my Saviour near,
Trusting that I some day shall see
Jesus my Friend, of Calvary.
