Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 44:3, "For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:"

God has more than enough water and blessings to go around for all of His children.  The key is are we thirsty?  Do we want to know more of God?  Do we have a desire for God to work in our lives?  I believe this is going to be the case for those who are truly saved.  There will be a desire to read His Word and pray.  There will be a desire to faithfully attend church.

If those desires are missing, it can be traced to one of two things.  The individual is either not saved or backslidden.  Today would be a good day to do a self examination.  Are you thirsty to know God more?  Are you speaking of Christ when given opportunities?  Do you faithfully read His Word?  If not, when did you get saved?  Has the world taken over first place in your life?  A lot of questions in this morning's devotional that are good for each of us to answer.  God has plenty of blessings to pour out today.
