Our Scripture reading today is Romans 12:1-2.
Verse 1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
The Apostle Paul was calling the Roman Christians of his day to use their life by serving in the army of God. He was literally begging them as it was only reasonable considering all that God had done for them.
We are not living in Rome, but the challenge is just as much for us as it was for them. Have you ever presented your body to God? Have you ever given the controls of your life to God? Far too many Christians are still holding on to the wheel of their life. They are directing their paths when God desires to do so. It is very important that we yield all of life's decisions over to the Lord. His plan is far better than ours. I believe the surrendered life is the satisfied life.
