Today's Scripture reading is James 1:5-6.
Verse 5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
How often have we heard the statement, "Knowing something and doing something are two different actions?" I am well aware of my need for wisdom, but am I doing something about it? Are you doing something about your need for wisdom? The source of wisdom is clearly defined in this verse of Scripture and the supply of wisdom will never run out. We have an opportunity every day to ask God for wisdom and He will give it to us. You probably already knew that, so why aren't you asking for wisdom? More than likely it is the same reason I don't ask enough for wisdom. We both think we can figure out life on our own which is nothing more than pride. God's wisdom isn't an option to be considered. God's wisdom is a MUST have. Seek Him today!
