Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"
God has given us plenty of reasons to have hope. His Word is filled with answers we can give to people for why our life is different. Our lives should be noticeably different from those without Christ. We are not problem free, but we have hope when we are going through problems. As children of God, we also have the indwelling Holy Spirit with us at all times.
There is also an admonition from Peter that we should know why we believe what we believe. Could you show someone from the Bible why you believe salvation is not by good works? Could you show someone from the Bible why you believe Jesus Christ is God? These are very important doctrines that we should be able to explain in a simple Biblical manner.
