Our Scripture reading today is 2 Corinthians 3:2, "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:"
The believers wherever Paul and others had laboured were a recommendation to their investment in their lives. A physical letter could have been written but the way their lives had been changed was a more powerful testimony. “Nothing so commends a minister as the proficiency of his people.” (Poole) “The fruitfulness of the people is the preacher’s testimonial.” (Trapp)
It ought to be our goal to make such an impact in people's lives that they speak to others around them without saying a word. We cannot make an impact apart from the life changing power of God's Word. Our walk is validated by the Word of God. By God's grace we can make an eternal investment in our homes and in the world around us.
