Our Scripture reading today is Acts 26:28, "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian."

We have a responsibility not to get people saved but to faithfully preach the Gospel to the lost.  Only the convicting power of the Holy Spirit can bring about salvation.  Our text let's us know that even the "great" Apostle Paul could not in his own strength win Agrippa to Christ.  Everyone we share the Gospel with has been given a free will by God.  It is important to pray for people to humble themselves and surrender their will to the will of God.  God's will is that they might be saved.  2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."  Pride is preventing an innumerable amount of people from being a Christian.
