Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 135:15-17.
Verse 15, "The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands."
At first, we might read this verse and immediately think it is not for us. While it is true that if we are saved, we are no longer considered heathen. The saved of God are the His children. What we see in this verse is a warning about the dangers of idols. What do we have in our life that is taking the place of our time with God? If there is someone or something doing this, then it is an idol. What is keeping us from coming to church and fellowshipping with other believers? We have been saved out of so many things and to return to any of them shows our lack of love for God.
Confess what needs to be confessed and worship the God of Heaven Who saved you!
