Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

Think of all that you do in a day or throughout a week.  The Apostle Paul makes it quite clear that we should be able to give God glory for everything that we do.  As I was meditating on this truth, it dawned on me how many things we do that bring no glory to God.  What a tragedy it is that we allow the world, the flesh and the devil to rule our lives more than we do the Spirit.  Too many of our decisions are based solely on what we feel is right instead of what the Word of God says.

It is time to take this shorter verse of Scripture seriously.  God has given us this day of our life to be used to bring Him glory.  Is your employer getting more glory from you than your Saviour?  Are your friends leading you to glorify God more or less?  "Whatsoever" in each of our lives ought to be to the glory of God.
