Our Scripture reading today is John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
We find in this very short verse the key to living the Christian life for the glory of God. John the Baptist figured it out and so should we. The Lord Jesus gained more and more ground in his life and John was willing to yield it to Him. It is a daily decision that every follow of Jesus Christ will make. Are we willing to yield our will to His? Are we willing to yield our future plans over to His? The Lord Jesus will not force Himself into our life. He is waiting for us to humble ourselves and freely choose to submit to His will for our lives. There is no greater decision we can make.
