Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:35-38.
Verse 37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible."
The angelic message to Mary sounds a little bit like the one that was delivered to Sarah in the Old Testament (Genesis 18:14). Whatever God says, it will come to pass. The virgin Mary gave birth to the Son of God because God said she would. An elderly Sarah gave birth to Issac because God said she would. He is Almighty God!
As we meditate on this short verse, we are reminded of Who we are bringing our praises and petitions to each day. The prayer request that we think is impossible is not with God! The mountain we think could never be moved; God can move it with ease. The impossibilities of life force us to recognize just how weak and frail we are. Actually, even the simple things of life should remind us how much we are dependent on our creator God.
Nothing is impossible with God! Let that promise resonate in your mind throughout the day.
