Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:23-25.
Verse 25, "Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men."
What a moment it must have been when Elisabeth realized she was expecting a baby! It was probably something she had given up hope on. God had a perfect plan for a baby boy to born in the home of Zacharias and Elisabeth. His plan did not fit into what man would call the normal time of child bearing. I am sure we know that God works on His own time table.
My attention this morning was drawn to the the statement, "He looked on me..." The same God Who miraculously looked on Elisabeth is still looking on us today. Do you need a miracle? Do you need God to come through in a way like He did for Elisabeth? Our heavenly Father is still looking on us and is more than capable of meeting any miracle you need! Matthew 7:11, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
