Today's Scripture reading is Genesis 50:19-21.
Verse 20, "...but God meant it unto good,...to save much people alive."
This statement was definitely true in the life of Joseph and his brethren as well as the entire nation of Israel. God allowed everything that happened to Joseph to accomplish His purpose and will. The same God is allowing challenges to come into my life and yours. The same God allowed the Great Depression. The same God allowed multiple world wars. The same God allowed September 11, 2001. The same God has allowed multiple diseases and now this current pandemic. I am asking the Lord to be able to speak like Joseph. I am asking the Lord to have the spirit and attitude of Joseph. I am asking the Lord to teach me what I need to learn in 2020. I am asking the Lord to "save much people" during and after this pandemic.
May our focus not be on our surroundings but on the God of our surroundings! God is so good!
