Our Scripture reading today is Mark 16:7, "But go your way, tell his disciples and  Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you."

All of Jesus disciples had abandoned Him to some degree.  Peter had as far as we now done the worst by denying Him three times.  We see in this message that was sent via these ladies that Jesus wanted to be with them.  It appears that Peter was singled out and encouraged due to his denials.

“If any of you have behaved worse to your Master than others, you are peculiarly called to come to him now. You have grieved him, and you have been grieving because you have grieved him. You have been brought to repentance after having slidden away from him, and now he seals your pardon by inviting you to himself.” (Spurgeon)

We, too, have been offered forgiveness more than we deserve.  Our gracious God desires to be with us in spite of the times we have denied Him.  If necessary, turn back to Him today!!
