Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 3:16-19.
Verse 17, "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,"
Our inner man is strengthened when we are rooted and grounded in the love of God. This is the extraordinary love that we were reminded of on Sunday. Recognizing His love is unconditional and unending will strengthen our faith and teach us to love in the same way. His love comes with no strings attached and so should ours. Verse 19 tells us that God's love is beyond knowledge. It is impossible to fully understand the love of God for sinners like you and me.
The world we are living in lacks this understanding of the one true God's love for them. It is our responsibility and privilege to take God's message of love to them. My love for God will strengthen me with boldness to be a witness. 1 John 5:3, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." The love of God changed our lives and it still has the power to change lives today.
