Our verses for today are Psalm 122:1 and Hebrews 10:25.
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD."
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Do you love what God loves? I would think our immediate answer would be, YES! The Bible tells us that we love God because He first loved us. God initiated the love. God loves people and people make up the church. Just yesterday in discipleship, we were reminded that the word church is translated from the Greek word, ekklesia. The church is not a building. The church is a called out assembly of people. As God's children, we are called out from the world to live lives of distinction. This means there should be a difference in the way we live our lives from those who are unsaved.
Since we know God loves people and people make up the church, I need to ask...do you love the church? Our love for the church should never be impacted by current events. Our love for and participation in the church should be motivated by a love for God. God will ALWAYS be worthy of our worship and praise. God will ALWAYS be worthy of our service. Love is action. How much love have you shown your church in the last week, month, or year?
