Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 4:16, "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf."
We are not encouraged to glorify God for suffering, but we can and should glorify God in our suffering. There will be challenging times in each of our lives. They can come when we least expect them. God will accomplish His perfect will in our lives during these seasons. This is another reason to rejoice in the opportunity to bring Him glory.
I Will Glorify the LORD
When I go through times of testing,
When temptation comes my way
In my weakness His strength is made perfect
When I need His help I bow down to pray
That I will glorify the Lord
I will magnify His name
He shows His loving kindness to me
early in the day
And I will glorify the Lord
Though I suffer for a season
I know He's not forsaken me
If I only will believe Him
The glory of my God will show through me
And I will glorify the Lord
Oh I will magnify His name
His tender mercies are new for me
Each and every day
And I will glorify the Lord
