Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 4:16, "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf."

We are not encouraged to glorify God for suffering, but we can and should glorify God in our suffering.  There will be challenging times in each of our lives.  They can come when we least expect them.  God will accomplish His perfect will in our lives during these seasons.  This is another reason to rejoice in the opportunity to bring Him glory.

I Will Glorify the LORD
When I go through times of testing,When temptation comes my wayIn my weakness His strength is made perfectWhen I need His help I bow down to prayThat I will glorify the LordI will magnify His nameHe shows His loving kindness to meearly in the dayAnd I will glorify the Lord
Though I suffer for a seasonI know He's not forsaken meIf I only will believe HimThe glory of my God will show through meAnd I will glorify the LordOh I will magnify His nameHis tender mercies are new for meEach and every dayAnd I will glorify the Lord
