Good Christmas Morning!

Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 1:21, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

This would not be the first time a mother in this day would name her baby boy, Jesus.  Jesus was actually a common name.  There was however a big difference between the Jesus of Matthew 1:21 and all the others.  Mary's baby was Jesus Christ the Son of God.  Mary's boy would some day lay down His life as a sacrificial lamb for the sins of all mankind.  Mary gave birth to Jesus the Saviour!  May we all take time today to give thanks for our Saviour!  May we all take time today to be reminded of what it cost for us to be saved from the penalty of our sins which is death in Hell.

We have at least two men of Anchor who have appointments with people this morning.  They are planning to share the message of the Gospel.  How Mary's baby was the Son of God Who died, was buried, and rose again!!  Please pray.

Merry Christmas,
Pastor
