Good Morning,

Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:31-33.

Verse 33, "And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."

The first time the Lord Jesus came to live amongst us was not to be a ruler of any kind.  His sole purpose was the cross.  He was born to die.  He will, however, have a different purpose when His feet touch this earthly soil again at the Mount of Olives.  Our reading today tells us Christ has a kingdom and a throne that shall never end.  The prophet Samuel told King David of this future kingdom that would come from David's bowels. (See 2 Samuel 7:12-16)

There will be no need for a manger and a stable the next time He comes.  He will have his transportation cared for by a white horse.  He will come again as the conquering King.  All those who have turned to Jesus Christ for salvation prior to the rapture will be following behind Him.  A completely different series of events than the scene at Bethlehem.  Rejoice as a believer!  Our King is coming sooon.

Your friend,
Pastor
