Our Scripture reading today is Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."
No one was there in Ezekiel's day to stand in the gap. No one was there to pray for the people to turn back to God. No one was there to speak the truth in love. I am thankful there would be One Who would stand in the gap for all mankind. The Lord Jesus Christ stood in the gap and suffered that we might live. He is the ultimate gap filler.
