Our Scripture reading today is Mark 9:29, "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting."
We have the tools needed to overcome the temptation that comes our way on a regular basis. As children of God, there is no reason for living in defeat. The combination of prayer and fasting will enable us to shine brightly and be difference makers in this world.
Faith brings with it spiritual confidence. “The authority that Jesus had given them was effective only if exercised by faith, but faith must be cultivated through spiritual discipline and devotion.” (Wiersbe). As we walk by faith, we bring much glory to God!
