Our Scripture reading today is Romans 10:1, "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved."

The Apostle Paul had compassion on the Jewish nation.  His compassion and care led him to pray for them to turn to God for their salvation.  Their religious beliefs and practices were not sufficient to have a relationship with God.  They needed to turn to Jesus Christ for their salvation.  I am sure we all know many people who are not saved.  This means they are not ready to die nor are they ready for Christ to return.  Who do you know that needs you to pray for them to be saved?  Hoping someone gets saved isn't enough.  Our care and concern should lead us to faithfully pray for them to be saved.
