Our Scripture reading today is Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
There is much instruction packed into this one verse. If we follow the admonition in the first part of the verse, there are promises we can claim in the latter part of the verse. We are instructed to walk closely in the Word of God.
1. Read the Bible every day. Do you have a dedicated time for Bible reading?
2. Meditate on what you read. Think about it and how it applies to your life. It might be one verse from the morning reading.
3. Obey the instructions given in the text.
Your relationship with God's Word will determine whether or not you are successful in the Christian life.
