Our Scripture reading today is Luke 6:46, "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"
The people were speaking as if they believed in the Lord, but their actions revealed something completely different. They were saying one thing but doing another. The actions revealed what was truly in their heart.
Do we claim to be a Christian and yet we are unwilling to obey the Word of God? A continual lack of obedience reveals either someone who is not saved or is living in rebellion. Our actions do speak louder than words and this is never more true than in the Christian life. We must obey His Word from a heart of love and dedication. He is worthy!
