Today's Scripture reading is 2 Corinthians 12:7-9.
Verse 9 - "Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities..."
This has always been an amazing statement to me. The Apostle Paul gladly glories in his infirmities?!? In other words, he is happy and joyful and even boasting that he is having a difficult time or going through an attack by the enemy. Paul was able to recognize there was an eternal purpose for his temporal infirmities. He was willing to joyfully endure because he knew there was a greater good coming as a result of the infirmity.
God was working in Paul's infirmity. God is always advancing. God is at work today in your difficult circumstance. God is always advancing. There is a refining time that we all most walk through in order to experience the power of God in our lives. It is in these refining moments that God is testing us to see how strong our faith really is. If we desire to see God work more in our lives, it will require more refining. He is faithful and will enable us to be victorious. His grace is always sufficient.
