Our Scripture reading today is Titus 2:11-14.
Verse 12, "Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;"
The grace of God provides salvation for all sinners who turn to Jesus Christ. There is no one who is too sinful to be saved by His grace. The same grace that saves is also needed to live in this world and bring glory to God. It is possible to live righteously even in a sinful world. God's grace is our teacher. We are being taught according to His ways and not the ways of the world, the flesh, or the devil.
It is in our best interest to run from the old ways of ungodliness and worldly lusts. God's grace redeemed us and is pointing us in a new direction. This new direction for life is not without it's challenges, but it is filled with the presence of God. It is void of the bondage of the old life. It is filled with peace and joy that only God can provide. God's grace will continue to mold us and make us after His will.
