Our Scripture reading today is Mark 7:37, "And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak."
The Lord Jesus did everything well in His earthly ministry and He continues to do everything well today. We might think we have something that was not done too well. The word of the prophet Isaiah come to mind. Isaiah 55:8, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." What we think is well may not be well with the LORD. His way of working all things together for good will be far better than something we could come up with. As I have meditated on this truth this morning, I have come to the conclusion that because we cannot see to the end, we must trust Him to continue to do all things well.
And Lord haste the day when my faith shall be sight
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend
Even so, it is well with my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
