Our Scripture reading today is James 1:5-6.
Verse 5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
This might be the most asked for need from God in my life. I am not sure I will ever have enough wisdom this side of Heaven. We have a wonderful promise from our almighty God. He will give us wisdom any time we ask for it. Wisdom is not of man. We cannot be educated in wisdom. Only God has wisdom and He is willing to impart His wisdom to His children. Don't wait to ask for wisdom when something challenging comes in your life. Ask for it every day!
“We are all so ready to go to books, to go to men, to go to ceremonies, to anything except to God… Consequently, the text does not say, ‘Let him ask books,’ nor ‘ask priests,’ but, ‘let him ask of God.’” (Spurgeon)
