Our Scripture reading today is Luke 24:1-2.

Verse 2, "And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre."

Someone once said that the stone of Jesus' tomb was not rolled away so He could get out, but so that others could see that He had risen.  Whatever the case may be, Jesus Christ' tomb was empty that first Sunday morning and it is still empty today.  As the song writer wrote, "We serve a risen Saviour"!

Jesus Christ died so we would not have to die.  Jesus Christ lives so that we might live.  We have everything we need in Him.  He is our connection to God.  He gives us access at any time into the presence of God for everything we need.  Rejoice! Rejoice!, O Christian!
