Our Scripture reading today is Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
We are at about the half-way point in the Sermon on the Mount. The Lord Jesus challenges those who are listening with regards to their loyalty. If their loyalty is properly placed, everything else will be properly placed including their treasure.
God has given us everything that we have. He promises we will receive if we first give. Luke 6:38, "Give and it shall be given unto you..." We are not even giving what is ours. It ALL belongs to Him. Too many times we are waiting for God to give us something so we can give back to Him. God has already done His part and He is waiting on us to do ours.
