Our Scripture reading today is 1 Peter 4:16, "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf."
We are told by the Apostle Peter that suffering allows us an opportunity to glorify God. God, Who provided our salvation full and free. God, Who provided us with His Spirit to never ever leave us alone. We have the privilege of bringing our heavenly Father the glory He deserves. It comes with price for us. The price we pay is suffering. We need not be ashamed of it because God will work in us through the suffering. A work is being done in us and at the same time we are bringing glory to God.
Revelation 4:11, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
