Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 2:1-4.
 
Verse 2, "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,"
 
It may appear that the world is gaining in strength and power.  It may appear that Christians are no where near the winning side.  There is no doubt that our enemy's attack is ever increasing.  He is commanding an all out attack on anyone and anything that represents the One true and living God.  The current events of our would can be very overwhelming.  What we must remember is Who the battle belongs to.  A young man named, David, knew all about it.  "And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands."  (1 Samuel 17:47) God delivered Goliath that day and He will give us whatever victory we claim today.  We are able to conqueror through Him!  Romans 8:37, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
 
I will never have a fear, for my Lord is ever near,
And in him so often I confide;
He's the keeper of my soul since I gave him full control,
And he placed me on the winning side
