Our Scripture reading today is Acts 17:6, "And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;"
The early church was led by people who wholeheartedly followed the leading of the Spirit. It was not enough to assemble together, they were willing to boldly proclaim their faith. Paul and Silas we hear much about, but Jason is someone we hear very little about. He is mentioned in this chapter as someone who helped and served Paul, Silas, and others. Jason identified with them and it cost him something.
God is worthy of our dedicated service for Him. How are you serving the Lord? I heard someone say recently that coming to church does not equate to serving the Lord. This is so true. Yes, we should attend church but faithfully, but we should also have time to serve God. Now is the time!
