Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

As followers of Jesus Christ, we have the privilege of living our lives to bring honour and glory to God. (See Revelation 4:11)  Glorifying God means we make Him look good.  The Apostle Paul reminds us to examine everything about our lives to see if we are living up to this privilege.  We have the Holy Spirit living in us Who will enable us to fulfill this task.  When we are filled with (controlled by) the Holy Spirit, we will do "all to the glory of God".

If there is something in your life that is not bringing God glory, it is time to confess and forsake it.  We also have the Holy Spirit's help in doing this.  Every day we live is a gift from God and an opportunity to glorify Him.
